Business Award Nominations

Do you know a business or non-profit that has gone above and beyond this past year? With your nomination, we can celebrate their accomplishments. 

​

The Deadline for nominations is 11 pm October 1, 2023. Awards will be given out on November 4th at the Chamber’s Business Awards Gala being held at the Killarney Mountain Lodge.

Outstanding Customer Service Award

This award will be presented to a business that has provided outstanding customer service with personalized interactions.

 

Some examples of excellent customer service:

  • Consistently provides customer service beyond all expectations or perhaps “caught in the act” of delivering exceptional service

  • Consistent positive interactions and a helpful attitude

  • Has efficiently corrected something that has gone wrong for a Customer

  • Ensures follow-through in a fast and efficient manner

Business Achievement Award

​This award will be presented to a business that has been viewed as a leader in the community, an innovator in its field and has a strong track record of community involvement and support.

 

For example, the business will demonstrate

  • Excellence in business operations, including a high level of customer service.

  • Participation and support in the community and related activities.

  • Demonstrate product or service diversification to meet changing client needs

Rising Star Award

Given to a break-out business that has been open for less than 4 years. The business will have brought to the Sudbury East community a new perspective, a new service and fits well with the community’s overall culture. This business must be no more than 4 years old and has been in business for at least 1 year.

Employee Choice Award

​Nominated by an employee or employees of a business as being an exceptional place to work. 

 

 For example, the business will

  • Demonstrates a commitment to the well-being of its employees.

  • Inspires their staff by enabling training programs.

  • Understand the importance of a work-life balance. 

Lifetime Achievement Award​

The award will be presented to the entrepreneur of a local business that has exhibited sustainability in their enterprise over a period of 20 years or more. This business will also have illustrated its commitment to continuous success and community involvement by enhancing the economy, life and culture in its community.

Non-Profit of the Year​

​This business will have built and maintained a leadership role in the Sudbury East Area.

 

The Non-profit organization will have demonstrated 

  • An impact on the community,

  • Effectiveness of its programs and services

​​

 You may also consider factors such as volunteer involvement, partnerships and collaborations, and public engagement and outreach efforts.
