Thank you for your interest in becoming a Director on the Sudbury East Chamber of Commerce (SECC) board. It's important that potential Directors understand the expectations of the role.


Please read and consider the following list of expectations:


  1. Be a Sudbury East Chamber of Commerce (SECC) member in good standing.


  2. Be viewed as and conduct yourself as a responsible, professional citizen


  3. Attend meetings regularly either in person or virtually. Notify the Executive Director if you will not be able to attend.

  4. Assist with efforts to help SECC grow. For example, identify and visit with potential new members.


  5. Exercise best efforts to also attend the signature events held by the SECC including but not limited to the Gala and the Business Awards Ceremony.


Meetings take place in person or via Zoom every four months on the first Tuesday at 6 PM (April, August, and December.) The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for either October or November every year with a preference for in-person attendance. Should any business arise between meetings, an email will be sent to all board members to schedule an additional meeting.


In person meetings are held at the Municipality of French River boardroom located at 44 rue St. Christophe St. Noëlville On
