COVID-19 Impact Survey
This survey aims to quantify the financial, operation, and human resource impact the COVID-19 public health emergency has had on small businesses within the Sudbury East Area beginning in May 2020 and continuing beyond. The importance of our reportings is found in that the Sudbury east area hosts a large portion of small businesses, represented by those with 500 or fewer employees. This becomes an area of concern for the Sudbury east chamber of commerce when it has been widely noted that in comparison to businesses with 500 or more employees, small businesses are significantly more likely to experience adverse effects in the face of unfortunate circumstances such as the COVID-19 public health emergency.
Research Goal
The goal of this survey is to quantify the economic impact that the COVID-19 public health emergency has had and may continue to have on small businesses within the Sudbury east area in hopes of gaining primary data that can be used to better understand our communities business members and apply for future grants that can be used to directly aid in areas of need.
Research Benefits
Completing the survey will directly benefit you! Data collection will allow the chamber to put on more events, events that pertain to what our community members need most and will help us provide our members with the tools to more easily recover from the pandemic. With your answers, we will ensure increased funding, grants, and benefits for the Sudbury east area.
